The coordinators of the informal group are Ms Agustina BRIZIO (Argentina), Ms Ke WANG (China), Mr Abdulkarim OLOYEDE (Nigeria), and Ms Shahad ALBALAWI (Saudi Arabia).
The following Terms of Reference of the group were agreed (TDAG-24/DT/7):
To follow up interest expressed by ITU Members to contribute their expertise and ideas to organize a successful Global Youth Summit and possible Youth Celebration, the coordination group will:
- Consider the input documents on the Global Youth Summit and Youth Celebration presented at TDAG-2024 and provide advice to the BDT Director on the scope and programme of both events;
- Subject to negotiations with the host country of WTDC, to also organize the Youth Celebration subsequent to the Youth Summit;
- The group is open to all ITU-D membership, preferably youth representatives;
- The group will work virtually and report to the next extraordinary meeting of TDAG.
